There is perhaps no greater tool for an actor trying to get seen… than an amazing and striking headshot. At Select Studios, we pride ourselves on helping actors create great looks, and great moments, and great expression- that highlights you as the actor, and helps with the tools needed in this industry to get called in by casting directors around the nation.

We’ve all heard it- the Casting Director saying “Wow, that actor was good, but their headshots were terrible!” (An actors nightmare, right?)

At Select, we’ll help you create genuine looks that not only benefit you, and play to your individual strengths as a creative, but also that are helpful to your team, and provide them with the tools they need to submit you in a variety of different markets.

Believe us… We want to get you in the door of Casting offices as much as you do!

Keeping your headshots updated is important as well. For example, as a teen, you need to consider getting your headshots updated every 6-12 months. For adults, keeping an updated portfolio, with the always-changing styles, and ever-evolving industry needs and standards, is so important. Many times, when Casting Directors see that an actor hasn’t updated or changed their headshots for years, they may assume the actor is simply no longer interested in pursuing a professional acting career. (And we don’t want that!)

So yes, it’s true- keeping updated headshots is a hallmark symbol of the committed actor.
